ROBERT E. WHITE, CPA JOINS LS AND COMPANY SERVING TAMPA BAY
Former Senior Partner of Cherry, Bekaert &Holland Joins Boutique Public Accounting and Business Advisory Firm
Tampa, Fla. (Nov. 15, 2009) – Lisa Smithson, managing partner of ls and company today announced the addition of Robert E. White, CPA as partner of the Tampa Bay Area public accounting and business advisory firm.

White brings over 35 years of professional experience to his role as Shareholder-in-Charge of Practice Development. Prior to joining ls and company, White served as Partner-in-Charge of the Florida real estate industry group and firm wide cost segregation services for Cherry, Bekaert & Holland. White advised a diverse client base in all in professional services including accounting, tax, profit enhancement, cost segregation, business management, strategic financial consulting, financing and financial planning. White has specific expertise with clients in industries such as healthcare, real estate, retail, wholesale distribution, not-for-profit, manufacturing and professional service industries.

White has authored articles on condominium associations, the investment of real estate in IRAs, cost segregation and timeshare operations, and has lectured at the local, state and national level on these and other topics of importance to the real estate industry. In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and he serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). White is actively involved in the local community with a number of not-for-profit organizations, and serves as Chairman of Finance and board member for the Transitions Championship (PGA TOUR) and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Lisa Smithson named as finalist for 2009 Business Woman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

ls and company presents $1,000 Academy of Finance scholarship
ST. PETERSBURG, FL, 5/12/09- ls and company presented a $1,000 scholarship at the Academy of Finance Annual Banquet held at the Northeast High School cafeteria. Lisa Smithson has been on the Academy of Finance Advisory Board since 2006 and has been actively involved in mentoring Academy of Finance students to learn about and prepare for college careers in business and finance.

Lisa Smithson, Honored by the Resurrection House
ST. PETERSBURG, 4/23/2009 – ls and company founder, Lisa Smithson, was honored today by the Florida Resurrection House at their annual New Beginnings Breakfast. Lisa was given the first ever Bronze Eagle Award for her dedication and contributions to the success of the Resurrection House. For the past two years, ls and company has been the primary sponsor of the annual breakfast that is used to spread awareness about the Resurrection House.
